Hello, I’m Dylan Nguyen, a 16-year-old student passionate about machine learning and its applications. I started with Andrew Ng’s Machine Learning Specialization, where I learned to implement techniques such as gradient descent, anomaly detection, and neural networks. My main project, Vocalize, is an app that uses generative transformers to help mute individuals communicate more effectively. This project is backed by Samsung, and has won $2500 in the U.S. Solve for Tomorrow competition. Currently, I’m conducting sustainable energy research at CSULB using Convolutional Neural Nets (CNNs), and am eager to continue working.

Hi, I’m Sahej Singh, a 17-year-old student passionate about machine learning and scientific research. I started with UC Berkeley’s machine learning course, learning foundational concepts and mathematics. I have since honed this through hands-on, high-impact projects. These include developing predictive models for stock market data analysis, leveraging regression algorithms to identify common market trends, and using Tensorflow & Keras to optimize professional tennis performance analytics. Currently, I’m spearheading a research project on SLC transporters, where I am able to use statistics and machine learning to explore these complex biological systems.

Hello, I’m Jake Yang, a 16-year-old student with a strong passion for software development and academics. I started programming as part of the FBLA competitions, learning the foundations of web design and backend programming. My most recent project is the website you are currently looking at, where I learned how to use frameworks & tools such as HTML, CSS, Node.js, and CanvasJS. I also learned some fundamental machine learning techniques, including regression algorithms and matrix manipulation. Outside of computer science, I’m a varsity tennis player and black belt in Taekwondo, where I’ve developed discipline, focus, and a competitive drive that applies to all aspects.

Hi! My name is Shivam Parmar, and I’m a 16-year-old student passionate about cybersecurity and machine learning. I’ve competed in cybersecurity competitions for all of my high school career, ranking top 15% nationally in CyberPatriots for three years in a row, and securing multiple top 10 placements at the FBLA State Conference. My coursework has focused exclusively on cybersecurity, incident response, and access controls. I’m dedicated to sharing my knowledge and experience to train the next generation of machine learning students through our nonprofit organization. My goal is to empower others to excel in the field of ML, and make it accessible to all.

Hello there! I’m Damian Slavkov, a 17-year-old student passionate about machine learning and creative design. Growing up, I loved experimenting with both design software and Legos, which sparked my interest in technology and engineering. I decided to investigate further, and have since competed in our school’s FIRST Robotics team and CyberPatriots team. On the CyberPatriots team, I have consistently ranked in the top 15% nationally, and raised hundreds of dollars for the organization. In Robotics, I built circuit systems and soldered wires for the robot. Outside of academics, I am varsity captain of the boy’s water polo and swim teams.

Hi there, my name is Anthony Pinheiro, a 16-year-old student passionate about robotic engineering and programming. I’m involved in many communities around campus including our FIRST Robotics team, Mock Trial Club, Future Business Leaders of America, etc. In robotics, I have programmed in both C++ and Java for some of the robot’s complex functions, including movement of wheels and the projectile firing mechanism. Additionally, I’m currently a Boy Scout through Troop 99, being a three-time recipient of the Patrol Leader award and a current candidate for Eagle scout. I’m eager to use my past experiences in advancing machine learning education for all future students.
