FAQs

What age group is this course for?

This course is designed for middle school - early high school students, generally between the ages of 11 and 14. However, any age is free to enroll. You can always unenroll for free, later, if the course is not suited for you.

Do I need any prior programming knowledge?

No prior programming knowledge is required! Our course starts with the basics and builds up gradually, ensuring that every student is able to follow along. Upon sign-up, free resources will be given for learning the prerequisite programming skills.

How much does it cost to join?

This course is completely free. We are a nonprofit organization dedicated to making machine learning education accessible to all students, regardless of their financial situation.

Are the courses available online?

Yes! Our course is hosted online via Discord. Upon sign-up, a link to the platform will be sent.

What topics are covered in the course?

Our course covers many topics starting from basic regression and classification algorithms and branching to more complex architectures such as neural networks and decision trees. See our Curriculum page for more.

How long does the course last?

Our course lasts 3 weeks, with about 4 hours of instruction via 2 lectures every week. The course is always run across the first three weeks of the month, with monthly cohorts. See above Calendar for more information.
